Textlocal to Webex Interact Migration

Textlocal is being deprecated this week and replaced by Webex. The Webex UI is an upgraded modern experience, and it is very similar in sending SMS reminders on CleanerPlanner.

You have two options to migrate (Option 1 is recommended):

Option 1: Migrate Textlocal to Webex

On Tue afternoon (14 Oct), you will receive an email from Textlocal with instructions to migrate your Textlocal account to Webex. This will move over your Textlocal data and SMS credit funds to Webex.

  1. Follow the steps in that email to migrate
    1. You can migrate to Webex anytime this month — Textlocal integration will still work for several weeks, aside from SMS credit sales ending Tue 14 Oct
    2. Migration takes only a few mins of work on your end
  2. After migrating, send Webex messages from CleanerPlanner following these instructions

NOTE: If you already created a Webex account before, you can still migrate your Textlocal account, as long as the two accounts have different emails:

  • To change your email in Webex, click on your name in upper right corner > Webex user profile > login again, then click your email
  • If you are unable to do this, you can follow Option 2 below

Option 2: Create new Webex account

Anytime between now and end of October, create a new Webex account (independent of your Textlocal account). Follow these instructions to send messages in your new Webex account.

  • You'll have to manually copy over any of your Textlocal account information to Webex
  • In CleanerPlanner, you'll be able to switch between Textlocal vs. Webex to send messages through end of November:
    • This way you can still spend down your Textlocal credits (as you cannot manually transfer them to Webex)
    • Note that Textlocal is ending SMS credit sales on Tue 14 Oct
